I am writing to complain about the (lack of) quality of the Martex sheets I purchased. I am seeking to have my money refunded, $20 purchase price plus $1.40 in tax. Upon repeated washings (during a month or so period), the pale blue sheets developed white splotches. nI have already sought relief from the consumer affairs department who essentially wrote to me that, since Inpurchased the sheets at Big Lots, I shouldn’t have high expectations. Yes, I concede that Big Lotsis not a bastion of high quality merchandise.nHowever, when I buy a Martex product at Big Lots or anywhere else, I expect the high standard of quality fornwhich Martex is known. I am writing to you,because, although my refund request is really quite small, and I could let this matter go, for some reason this injustice of my buying a supposedly high quality product like Martex which turned out to be defective and my having no recourse is bothering me. This is the first time in my life I have appealed to the officers of a company seekingnrelief. nI believe the right thing to do is to refund my money (and tax). nPlease consider the matter yourselves and determine what is fair. n
