My wife and I spent $1800 approx on a Sofa, Chair and Chair/ Ottoman. Three pieces of what we thought and were told was leather furniture. After only a year and a half all the furniture is cracking, pealing or having structual issues. The leather recliner is made by Benchmaster and the seat began to peal on the seat and arm rest. I took pictures and emailed Benchmaster and give them credit for replacing the two items. However, the Corinthian Sofa and Chair are doing the same and I cannot even find a proper contact to file a complaint. Apparently other people have experienced the same problems with Corinthian furniture which I believe is headqartered in Mississippi. I never realized a furniture store could sell such poor quality at prices I believed were at the point of getting good quality. Maybe not the best, but acceptable and certainly not at the poor quality that would cause the furniture to fail after less then two years. Does Slumberland back up any of their products they sell? They simply offer a 90 day adjustment and after that its really put in the furniture manufacture corner. Even the extended warranties do nothing and they simply are there to get more money from the customer. Most won’t even cover basics such as structual problems, or pealing of coverings because they are defined as wearable problems. I would have to say that places like Slumberland do a injustice to people who spend hard earned money of what they think is good furniture only to find out that its very poor discount quality. Yea, it looks good on the showroom floor but just wait a couple years and it becomes your worst spent dollars ever! My advice is stay away from discount furniture places like Slumberland. Either save up and buy real non bonded leather products or do some homework on the maker of the furniture. I could have basically bought the same quality at a W****** (((REDACTED))) as I did at Slumberstand. This is no joke. In fact I saw my exsact Sofa advertised onlne for $399 when I paid $800 at Slumberland. Talk about mark up!. Consumers have the power to find out the real value of products and weather others have experienced issues. We need to do this because obviously places like Slumberland are only concerned about sales and profits. Not about satified customers.
