So I bought this thing for three years and 2 years in had a air conditioner failure (first claim ever to home warranty) in TX 103F stretch of summer. Called told them it was hot and had two toddlers and they stated could get tecnician myself so I called around and got someone to come same day. They said was failure of fan and capacitqator which ruptured lines. ONE full day later after they said would call in a few hrs they say is denied as nothing is covered if associated with freon, Advised technician stated freon leak secondary to rupture due to mechanical failure, I should be allowed a second technician to support. They agreed to allow second technician, also asked for photos and maintanace records which were promptly sent. So, a second and third technician were able to come out on day 2 of 103+F weather and both said same thing. ONE FULL DAY LATER (after informed would be a few hrs) they went back and forth finally sent letter stating they needed all maintainace AND pictures of this??! Sent …again. Had full rebuild three years earlier but to be fair no maintanance between. ONE FULL 103F still day later and still no response. Finally installed unit myself as did not want kids ER bills later. Finally day after they say “oh maximum payout is 150$ since no maintanance

I am about to strangle them about then for putting me and my family through 103F hell for four days without just coming out with this at first and saving the hassle. So a few weeks later my garbage disposal goes out and I call for them to send someone to fix as stated in agreement. They call back oh just send receipt for new unit we will pay max of $75. I am thinking that would not even cover install much less cheapest unit available! Whatever husband is handy and takes day to change. Send in reciept and told would hear back within 24hrs. No response…One month after I call and ask to follow up on my diagnostic charge reimbursements and measly $150 to pay towards #K unit I had to install myself and told check was in mail and no ideo on diagnostics but would sent to be checked and would be called by one day. One month later. No check. No call. If this company cannot even reimburse $150 or $75 that is some legitamite class actions stuff there. I am sure I am not alone and do not want anyone to go through this experience while counting and waiting on insurance which does not do what they are paid to and makes you wait in health hazordous conditions while they yank your chain and tell you not to do work until approved!”
