What happened to good or at least decent Customer Service We bought a bedroom set for our parent in May of 2012. It was delivered 2 days after the promised date. We were give a time frame of 3-9pm. The exhaused drivers arrived at my parents house (they are 80+ years old) after 10pm. We can understand that things happen so they may have been late BUT, we informed Rooms to Go that we got ride of their set on the day they initially promised to delivered the new set. Two days later when the set arrived, it was undeliverable – the set cost over $1500. The heard board was crushed and one ofthe night stands were damaged on the end. The delivery driver stated that we needed to contact the warehouse manager and complain. He stated that RTG received a lot of complaints because they overload the trucks, which we learned that deliveries are now done by contractors and RTG try to stach as many deliveries as possible. The driver stated they deliver well into the ngiht sometimes close to 12 midnight. They were exhaused. However, so were my parents. We had to send the set back and contacted the store the next day. They promised another delivery and this time we waited2 weeks for the next delivery – the mirror was cracked and again the bedhead was damaged. To make a long story short, we went back and forth five times dealing with broken promises from RTG and damaged furniture. It was not until September, 2012 that my parents have everything we ordered. We could have order it from another store but my parents liked that set and did not want to have to go shopping again. It was a horrible experience, the warehouse manager was not nice at all. I cant believe how unprofessional the manager was. I now hate seeing their commercials with all the promises that are lies. We will never shop there again. To this day, the Warehouse Manager has not apologize for my parents inconvenience. We also contacted the store manager in Charleston where we bought the set and he continued to refer us to the warehouse manager, stating it was out of his hands. What happened to good ole fashioned customer service. What a huge disappointment and awful experience!
