We purchased a complete living room package – recliner, reclining sofa and stationary love seat in February 2013. Furniture is only 9 months old and was to be guaranteed for 1 year. Recliner reclines crooked and is higher on the right side and the frame broke on the left side of the reclining sofa. Repair technician came to home on November 16, 2013 to inspect the furniture and he adjusted the recliner and it’s worse now than before. He determined that the frame on the reclining sofa was broke and that he would report everything to their customer service. We received the call from customer service on November 20, 2013 and were told that the technician stated in his report that we the customer broke the reclining sofa and were told by the customer service person that it would not be covered under the warranty. We asked for another repair technician to be sent out and were told that there is only 1 technician per area and that they cannot send the same technician out again. How he could make a statement like that is beyond me considering that he couldn’t even get the sofa apart to determine where it was broke. Also, we were not asked if the recliner was OK. My husband asked to speak to the customer service person’s manager and we were told that they were not available. We are out over $1,000 for furniture that are 2 pieces of crap. Do not ever buy from Rooms To Go. You’ll be sorry if you do.
