My husband bought a Bowflex 1 1/2 years ago. A couple of months after he got it we noticed a $25 late fee on the bill. I called about it and they said that it was their error and would take it off. Come to find out a year later it was never taken off. nIn Jan. 2000 I called again because there was another late fee in which they said that they would take off. More problems were to come so I called again in March and they told me that my name wasn’t on the account so they wouldn’t talk to me. They also said that they showed no record of us ever calling before. nMy husband called them to add my name to the account and they said they never talked to him. So he called back and they said to fax them a permission slip. He did this immediatlly and they claim they haven’t ever gotten it. nIn May I called to make a payment over the phone and the information they wrote down about my bank account information was wrong so they charged us another $25 late fee. nI called in June to see what our balance was so that we could just pay it off. The balance was the same as it was when we bought it. I asked them to mail me a copy of all the records from the begining in which they did. I got a copy and it also had a bill of $11.75 for sending the records. They never told me of any fee on the phone. On the record it showed 6 late fees!!! I was pretty mad now. I looked up on my records and showed that I had mailed all those payments out in atleast 7 days in advance. nThey claim that it took 8 days to get there. Also every time I called they were rude & snotty except for the last time I called to pay it off. They made over $700 off of us in only 1 1/2 years. So be aware of what your getting yourself into before buying anything on payments.
