CONSUMBER BEWARE!!!!!!! Diane Bowen, owner of Grand Loft Custom, 222. W. Pico Blvd, LA 90015, is a complete scam artist and has frauded multiple consumers!! I met Diane at the Rose Bowl Flea Market on November 10, 2013, when I went to looking for a dining table for the upcoming holiday. Diane had the perfect table at her station, however it was too large for my space and she reported that she had just sold it. However, she told me that she had the perfecct sized table for me, back at her shop and after previewing pictures of it on her cell phone, we discussed and agreed upon a sales price. The following day, my husband and I went to her shop to see the table first hand, which needed to be refinished and have a base stand added to it. I even got to pick out the type of base I wanted for the table, which personalized it and made it more special. Diane had great pieces at her shop and I quickly eyed 2 other pieces, a small dresser and a cabinet that went great with the table. All 3 pieces needed final touches, therefore, Diane told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the pieces delivered to my home. I paid her $1600, took my invoice and walked away feeling pretty good about the transaction (boy was I wrong!).Fast forward 2 1/2 weeks later, w/ no word from Diane, I went over to her shop and inquired about the pieces. Her response to me was that all her workers, including herself had fallen ill with the flu, therefore, they weren’t able to finish the pieces (I could see them there, literally in the same condition as they were when I first saw them). I was disappointed, because as I had expressed to Diane orignally, I wanted the table in time for Thanksgiving, she seemed genuine, so I stayed positive as she promised just 1 more week and I’d have all the items in time for Christmas. After numerous unanswered calls (she rarely if ever picks up her phone) and unannounced visits to her shop, she delivered the dresser and cabinet to my home an entire 1 1/2 months later!!! Of course, she charged me $60 to have them delivered to add insult to injury. Upon inspection, both items were absolutely filthy, covered in dust, nails sticking out of the wood in the interiors and overall not exemplifying good workmanship. I found myself spending the afternoon cleaning both pieces and upset by her lack of professionalism in delivering dirty, unfinished pieces and way beyone the expected delivery date.There must have been 10 different dates, where Diane promised me that the dining table was going to be delivered I’d sit and wait, but no delivery. I’d call her to find out what went wrong, cause she certainly would never call to explain and after many excuses, I demanded a refund for the table ($700) and to return the cabinet ($700) as I had purchased it to go with the table. Diane AGREED to a $1400 CASH refund and to pick up the cabinet from my home, at no expense to me and she claimed that she was sorry. The roller coaster continued! Now instead of going back-and-forth about when she was going to delivery furniture that I had paid her for, it was about her picking up the cabinet and returning my cash refund. Literally, Diane has postponed giving me my money back more than a dozen times, and again, I always have to call or text her to find out why she didn’t show up. Diane gives one lame excuse after another, with the most recent one being that she had water damage in her shop and had to replace a lot of machinery. I have no empathy for her and additionally, that’s not my problem! She has had 3 months to do the right thing and 2 months to give me my money back and she has “chosen”” not to. Why? Because it was never her intention to give me what I paid her for. Sure she ultimately delivered to pieces of crap furniture

because I harassed her

but she never delivered the table. In fact

weeks after she told me that she “”confirmed”” that the finished table was picked up from her shop and she didn’t know why the guy didn’t deliver it to me
