We are a non-profit. Ordered chairs from CT Direct on 8/1/11 for $1,777 and paid with credit card. Told we’d receive them in 2 weeks. No chairs. Told they were delayed and would arrive by 8/26. Called on 8/30. Told that the chairs were delayed and would arrive by early next week. Every excuse about whereabouts of the chairs – another state, different warehouse, etc.; can get them in grey, but not blue. I told him we were putting the credit card transaction in dispute. He said that he’d credit our account within 2 business days to avoid dispute. Didn’t happen. Also emailed shipping tracking # to me for the chairs; the # was phony. Eventually said would Fedex refund check to us, since order so delayed. Check arrived on 9/6 and it bounced on 9/20/11. Called credit card company and put transaction into dispute. Researched this company online with BBB and other sites. Found numerous complaints very similar to ours where merchandise is promised and never received, bounced refund checks, etc. Fortunately, we used a credit card and filed our dispute within 60 days, so we should be able to get out money back. I’ve read of many non-profits that haven’t gotten a refund and one business that’s taking Larry to court. Larry is a very dishonest and disreputable individual. This is no a legitimate business.
