I read a recent review from Tina in Santa Clara and OMG, I had the very same experience that she had with Country Wood Furnture in San Jose! They have such horrible customer service, from the top down. Mike Wilson, the owner, is such a rude and obnoxious and horrible man. And Henrietta is no better. I bought a dresser and desk to upgrade my teenage son’s room and the buying process was actually an ok experience. But then it went to Hell after they took my money! We scheduled delivery for a Tuesday lunch hour and I took off work to come home and meet them from 12pm-12:30pm, that was my delivery window. Two days prior to the delivery, before removing my son’s existing furniture, I called them to confirm delivery, and it was confirmed, Tuesday 12pm-12:30pm. They did not show up on Tuesday at lunch! Right before my delivery window was over, I called them, and Nathan, the Sales guy was alone and had no clue how to deal with a delivery problem. He said he thinks they tried to call me a couple times but couldn’t reach me. I was real surprised with that since I received no phone call at all. And I questioned that just because they couldn’t reach me, does that mean they cancel my delivery??? He then left a message with the driver but said I needed a manager to resolve this, but no manager was in. And when I asked him to call the driver again to please have them deliver now while I am still home, he hung up on me! I then called back and suddenly the manager was in, Henrietta, and she was so condescending. I questioned why they didn’t deliver my furniture when I had confirmed my delivery. She said one of the drivers didn’t show up that day for work. So I questioned why they wouldn’t have called me in advance to modify my delivery schedule. She had no answer for this. I was frustrated at this point since I left work just for this delivery and they stood me up and then Nathan hangs up on me when I am just trying to get my furniture. She proposed a couple other time slots later that day. So I agreed to a later window at 5PM, and Henrietta made sure to tell me not to blame the delivery guys when they come over. I assured her that wouldn’t happen since all of this was management’s fault, not the delivery driver. The delivery came right at 5PM, Mike Wilson, the owner, was one of the guys, and immediately from the start, you could see Mike had a major attitude with me. I didn’t even say anything to him yet. My teenage son was there with me and saw that Mike had such a huge chip on his shoulder from the beginning. I was polite and didn’t say much at all, but I did want to inspect my furniture prior to them moving it in the house. With every comment I made through my brief inspection, Mike reacted with a huff and a puff and rolling his eyes, and he was so short and full of attitude that it was hard for me to really inspect anything. After a couple of those reactions, I said “you think you could be a little friendlier?”” He immediately blew up at me and started to push himself into my house to remove one of the two furniture items he just moved in. He then said to me “”shut your f_n mouth”” and he then said “”if only you didn’t say anything””. And then he said “”that’s why there’s no man in your life””. OMG again

how rude and obnoxious can anyone be with a customer that just spent almost $1000 in their store! I managed to stop him from storming into my home to remove the furniture that I just paid a lot of money for that my son really wanted. On the way out

Mike said sarcastically to my son

“”good luck son””. My son actually wanted to say something back to this man with every rude comment he made but my son was afraid he would push himself back in my home and do something nasty. That’s how horrible their customer service was

right there in front of my kid who was getting all this furniture from them. After they were gone
