We are currently in the process of parting ways with Coral Resorts. We had not even had our first ownership very long before being lied to again by Hunter French. He claims that his brother is the boss and because of this apparently he is allowed to say whatever he wants. He did just that. He created out of thin air an entire fraudulent presentation on how our developer weeks were no good as our previous salesman claimed, and if we upgraded he would guarantee $2000 per week to us. He and his manager both confirmed they would be u201cPlatinumu201d weeks, which are always full. We explained that we were already struggling with our 1st (lower) payment and thought we were lied to, and could not afford a higher new payment. Hunter did not hesitate to tell us we would not have to worry and the $2000 from each developer week (he somehow gave us a 2nd one) would cover our payments, and get us paid off sooner. We are now stuck, at no fault of our own except for taking people at their word. Our first salesperson did the same.We have explained this to Coral Resorts and they are only trying to cancel what we did with Hunter French, when they know we were lied to the first time as well. We were promised a check for selling our Westgate property, which was supposed to arrive in 90 days. This of course never happened either. The company that was supposedly u201csellingu201d the Westgate property told us that most of the properties listed by Coral Resorts never sell, and certainly not for the amount we were quoted. Even their affiliate companies told us we were probably lied to by Coral Resorts. Because of this we are stuck with that payment as well, when Coral Resorts said not only will it be gone, but we can expect a check. So much for that. They are just trying to provide a temporary fix so we will go away. We are stuck with a permanent problem because of their lies, so to us that is not fair. We will be contacting Hilton Heads newspaper next and I encourage everyone else to do the same. They have reported on this company before, and probably would not mind helping people who need it, and like to enjoy Hilton Head. This company gives the island a bad name. we are going to stay in contact with the authorities and see this through until we are refunded and out of business with them. They cannot be trusted. Even people that have worked in their customer service department have spoken up about what scam they are running. Letu2019s make it known to the authorities and media that this company needs to be shut down for good. They do not care about people, bottom line. Companies that do not care about people should not be open. Every owner possible should get in contact to form class action. At least maybe the island packet should survey people walking out of that company on how they feel about them. Just a thought.
