I had a drip in my bath-tub and asked Capitol Plumbing to come out to repair it. They sent an inexperienced repair man who didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Eventhough we told them the problem before they came out and information about our faucet, they didn’t bring out the necessary parts. They went back into town, stopped for lunch, and charged me for travel time. Then, they came back and replaced a part…that didn’t need to be replaced. The faucet continued to leak and when I called them back to repair it…they said there was nothing else that they could do. nThey then billed me for $300 and when I refused to pay it, sent it to collections. Since then the leak has been properly repaired by another plumber and it no longer leaks. I phoned them and told them that I didn’t feel that they should be paid for a service that they hadn’t performed. I paid the collection agency the amount due, and now 1 year later, they are harrassing me and asking for another $40. These companies have too much power, and can ruin your credit rating at will. Santa Fe is a small town, and no one that I speak with will be using this company again. I’m a real estate agent, and I have an opportunity to make lots of referrals for this service…..but, will not be making it to Capitol Plumbing in Santa Fe, New Mexico! nBarbaranSanta Fe, New MexicoU.S.A.
