Broward Home Warranty (BFS) took my money. I paid for an extra service to have water pipe clogging for an extra $25. The very first call, I contacted the operator and explained my problem and I was told that they do not cover water pipe clogging. I explained that I had paid the extra $25 and I was covered. The operator then made an appointment. When the service technician came to my house the next day, he never touched, looked at or assessed the problem. I was told that I was not covered. I explained that I had paid the extra for the water pipe clog but was told that they do not do that. I called a real plumber and they snaked the pipe and got the job done. I then proceeded to cancel BFS. I get a call from them saying that I should have called them and yes, I was covered and that they were sorry. By then I had paid the plumber and was not in need of their service. The offered to pay only for the snaking of the pipe, but told them that I did not want to be covered by a service who did not cover what they say. The individual who called me then went on to say that I would be charged $80 for the service call in addition to the $55 deductible I paid. I told them at the time of the call, I was fully paid for their service. Just because five days later I am canceling they are charging me $80 for a service call. This is rediculous and they are just out to make money. Don’t use them, their technician did not want to work just collect $55.
