I agreed to try a 30 day sample of Altovis supplements made by Berkley Premium Nutriceuticals Inc (www.askberkeley.com) marketed by a firm called ASKENZYTE.COM. nI waited for weeks to receive my free 30 day trial sample of Altovis that never arrived. The agreement was If I didn’t like the product, I could cancel the next full shipment within 30 day. They charged me for a full shipment 25 days later. Their marketers said it was my fault for not reporting that the Post Office had lost the trial shipment so I was liable for the full shipment. nThe agreement was that I would be charged $4.50 for shipping my trial sample. If I did not like the product, I could call them within 30 days and cancel a full shipment. I saw that the charge of $4.50 was made against my credit card on 04/19/04 but I waited for about 4 weeks before I ever received a shipment of supplements. nThen, I noticed a $70 charge dated 05/14/2004 from ASKENZYTE.COM on my card. nWhen I called and asked them why I was charged for a full shipment, their telemarketer said that since I did not call them within 30 days, they went ahead and shipped a full shipment. I notified them that I thought this was the trial shipment so I was waiting for 30 days before I called them. nThe marketer said it was my fault for not reporting the missing trial shipment to them immediately so I was still liable for the full shipment for $70. As you will notice from the dates of the charges, even if I had received the trial shipment, the $70 cost of the full shipment had already been charged against my account almost a week before my trial period was over. nTednSaco, MaineU.S.A.
