Consumers please be aware of purchasing any property from www.areaproperties.com especially Mark Popkin. He is more of a developer than a real estate agaent. We bought our lot from him and talked to the former owner and found he made a 300% profit (no problem with making a little money), but when you consider any property that is purchased from that team, meaning you are purchasing it from the agent not the owner. A perfect example is a house in Astoria, in 1999 I was looking at buying so-called house 3 bedroom 1 bathroom and unfinished basement for $49,000. Earlier this year I saw the same house at www.areaproperties.com with Popkin team that was priced now at $150,000. No way in hell did that property value increase over 300%. The guy, Mark Popkin and all memebrs of areaproperties have more their interest than the consumer. A perfect example is that any property that is listed with them stays on the market longer than with any other real estate agent. I’ve seen 5 properties in Warrenton, OR that have been on the market for over 2 years because of being listed with areaproperties unlike other reaql estate agents that get the house or property sold.
