We purchased an expensive drill based on the word of Randy Lobeck, Lead Sales Rep at Advantage Drill, that the drill could be used for underwater drilling. Within 2 weeks the unit did not work, we returned it and it was repaired free of charge. Within one month the unit again was not working. We returned the unit once again and waited to find out what was going to happen. It was taking a long time so we eventually ordered another drill (based on Randy’s advice) which would work better for our underwater operations. After 2 months of waiting we were told that the first drill would not be covered under warranty because it had water in it and was rusty. We could not get Advantage Drill nor the manufacturer (CS Unitec) to send us the report showing these findings. (These findings would not surprise us since we had purchased the drill for underwater use and Advantage had it on their shelf for 2 months but that should not have voided our warranty). The new unit we had purchased had also now stopped working. We are very disappointed in the products and service our company received and do not recommend this company. We have filed for a refund on both drills but are being told that since we do not have RMA numbers we can not get our money back. Make sure if you send something back you get an RMA number or you will not have any recourse. Do not make any exception to this rule! Our credit card company tried to resolve this issue as well, but their phone calls were not returned nor their emails read. This leaves us with broken drills and over $10,000 out of our account. Randy will not reply to our emails or phone calls either. He would rather brush everything under the rug once he has your money. Do not deal with this company. Our recommendation is to spend a few extra bucks and get the product from a company with honest sales staff and good customer service.
